Overview
A pocket drive with a colored plastic body and a metal sleeve that rotates around the core to cover or uncover the USB-A connector. No cap is involved: a twist of the finger swings the sleeve open at the hinge and back over the plug when the drive is carried. The rounded body includes a lanyard hole, and the shells are offered in a wide range of solid colors.
Why this shape
The rotating sleeve solves the cap problem: nothing can be lost between uses, and the plug is shielded the moment the sleeve swings across it. That makes the drive well suited to keyrings, lanyards and pockets, where a loose cap would fail. The plastic shell keeps the body light and takes color well, so a fleet of drives is easy to tell apart on a shared desk.
